- Almost 10 years of with the Waterloo Region Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre, responding to acute trauma as a result of sexual or domestic violence
- Past experience as clinical social worker at KidsAbility Centre for Child Development, Waterloo, ON supporting parents of and children with special needs.
- 6 years working with incarcerated offenders with Ministry of Corrections, primarily male clients with mental health, addictions, anger management issues. Developed and implemented group therapy and education groups.
MY PRACTICE
I provide individual, couple and family counselling to men and women of all ages in southern Ontario (Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, and surrounding areas)
I provide trauma-informed counselling to veterans, first responders , victims of violence and sexual abuse, and others
This includes critical incident de-briefs
PRESENTATIONS, WORKSHOPS, LECTURES
I am available as a speaker to groups of any size regarding counselling skills, single session helping, internet safety, and violence. I speak to students, parents, teachers and administrators; employers; and women's groups among others. I have also provided training for employees through workplace seminars.
